What is a "reference ID" and how can I add one to my invoice?
A reference ID is an identifier added to an invoice so the attorney can refer the invoice back to their records.
For example, if an attorney uses an accounting system that creates a bill for services rendered that the county needs to pay, that bill # can be entered into the eInvoice reference number field so the attorney can link the bill from their accounting system and the invoice sent to the county.
Additional information about the reference number can be found in the eInvoice Attorney Manual, Submitting a New Invoice section. The manual can be downloaded on the eInvoice system page.
